Yellowlight collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, and it never connects to the internet.

What the app does with your Mac

When you click the menu bar icon, Yellowlight uses macOS's Accessibility interface to get the list of open windows from each running app and ask them to minimize. It doesn't read what's inside those windows, and it doesn't keep the list after the click.

To fill in the icon when you point at it, Yellowlight watches mouse movement across the screen and checks one thing: whether the pointer is over its own icon. Pointer positions aren't stored or sent anywhere.

What it stores

Nothing. Yellowlight has no settings file, no database and no logs of your activity. The one preference it has, Launch at Login, is kept by macOS itself.

What it sends

Nothing. The app contains no networking code, no analytics or advertising software, and no third-party components. It has no server to send anything to.
